Jordan O'BrienLutron Electronics has launched Finiré LED Recessed Downlights and Lumaris LED Linear Lighting fixtures which both promise high-performance lighting and smooth dimming for the residential market.
As with many Lutron products, these latest additions are squarely aimed at the high-end residential market, as well as hospitality applications. Both the Finiré and Lumaris series have been designed to work with Lutron controls as part of a HomeWorks QS, Quantum or myRoom system.
The new Lutron fixture ranges have been designed to resolve common industry challenges associated with LED lighting, such as flickering or lack of dimming consistency, across the whole range of light outputs. Lutron says that specifiers no longer have to struggle to find a control and fixture combination with guaranteed compatibility, as they can now benefit from technical support encompassing all elements of the lighting system.
“Our new LED fixtures provide our customers with full-range flicker-free output, great optical performance, and guaranteed compatibility with Lutron controls,” explains Sam Woodward, customer education leader for Europe and Africa at Lutron.
Lutron says the main benefits of this new fixture solution are:
- An all-in-one solution including fixtures, drivers and controls. Using this complete range of products and resources supposedly simplifies the customer selection of LED lighting fixtures and controls and ensures full compatibility between all elements of the system.
- Optical performance that allows fabric and human skin to appear softer and more natural thanks to a high CRI, colour-consistent light engine with high-performance optics, in a range of colour-temperature options.
- Flicker-free, step-free LED dimming experience, with dimming to 1% (measured) and Soft-on, Fade-to-Black (for Lumaris).
- 24/7 system-level global customer support (Lutron control, driver and fixture), improving service quality and providing a single point of contact accountable for the Quality of Service of the entire LED solution.
- A 10-year limited warranty covering both the fixture and its driver
