Fibaro has announced the availability of its newest micro module – Dimmer 2.
The Dimmer 2 is designed to recognise the type of a connected light source and then automatically calibrate itself.
Fibaro says that this ensures that the lighting in a user’s home is always at the optimum level and cuts down on energy usage.
Fibaro says that the Dimmer 2 is designed to be as easy to use as possible and fast acting – triggering a scene as soon as the lights are turned on.
Smart features other than the ability to change the scene are also included at no extra cost, including the ability to measure exactly how much energy the lights are using.
The energy measuring functionality works with both two and three wire connections and displays the data necessary for users to cut energy bills in easy to read graphs and diagrams.
The Dimmer 2 is also fully compliant with the Z-Wave Plus standard and incorporates a 5th generation Z-Wave chip.
Testing and certification has also been performed by DEKRA laboratories and Z-Wave organisation.
Installers interested in the Dimmer 2 module can pick one up now.
