Vicoustic Announces Major new Facility

Vicoustic says it has opened one of the most modern and innovative acoustic solutions factories in the world.

Vicoustic, a leading innovator in sustainable acoustic solutions, has inaugurated one of the world’s most modern acoustic treatment factories in Portugal, marking a major milestone in its commitment to environmental responsibility.

Vicoustic officially opened its new facility in Paços de Ferreira, Portugal, during a grand event that welcomed partners from 28 countries. This cutting-edge factory significantly boosts Vicoustic’s production capabilities, enabling the ongoing development and manufacture of eco-friendly acoustic panels and sound booths made primarily from recycled materials.

The 2024 Vicoustic Convention served as the platform for the grand opening, attracting business partners from around the globe. Attendees toured the new facility, observed the acoustic product manufacturing process, explored the R&D labs for sound testing and previewed a new product range.

The construction of this modern industrial complex reflects Vicoustic’s commitment to enhanced production efficiency and environmental stewardship. The facility incorporates sustainable practices, such as solar panels, reduced consumption and minimised waste through the reuse of leftover materials for packaging.

Vicoustic’s commitment to sustainability is exemplified in its production of acoustic solutions using recycled materials, including VicPET Wool, made primarily from ocean-rescued plastic bottles. This innovative material is used in the company’s Virtual Material Technology (VMT) acoustic panels and the interiors of VicBooth soundproofing booths.
