The professional AV and installation sector got its first look at UniVicoustic during ISE 2026, where the new brand officially debuted following the strategic alliance between Vicoustic and United Acoustic Private Limited.
The launch marked a significant step for both companies, bringing together European acoustic design expertise and large-scale, vertically integrated manufacturing across Europe and Asia under a single global identity aimed at professional audio, AV integration and architectural markets.
As part of the joint venture, United Acoustic Private Limited became an investor in Vicoustic, with combined operations now spanning Porto, Portugal and eight cities across India. The newly formed UniVicoustic employs more than 300 staff and operates a total manufacturing footprint of around 18,000 sqm.
For systems integrators and specifiers, the scale of the operation translates into increased production capacity, improved supply-chain resilience and broader certification coverage across international markets.
The collaboration builds on a relationship that began in 2023, when Vicoustic licensed its patented VMT (Virtual Material Technology) to United Acoustic. This enabled the Indian operation – previously trading as UniAcoustic – to develop what is now India’s largest integrated acoustic manufacturing facility, including a dedicated PET production line for sustainable acoustic products.
Following the ISE debut, the former Vicoustic and UniAcoustic brands are transitioning into UniVicoustic through a phased rollout during 2026. The strategy is designed to ensure continuity for existing clients while consolidating all acoustic solutions under a single, globally consistent brand ecosystem.
UniVicoustic enters the market with what it describes as one of the industry’s broadest acoustic portfolios. Solutions span everything from arenas and concert halls to high-end home cinema, corporate, hospitality and architect-led interior projects.
Sustainability remains a core focus, with continued investment in recycled materials and responsible manufacturing processes, without compromising acoustic performance or aesthetic flexibility.
Cesar Carapinha, Founder and CEO of Vicoustic, comments, “Presenting UniVicoustic at ISE marked an important milestone for us. This partnership amplifies our collective strengths, ensuring that our brand remains a primary force driving innovation and excellence in acoustics.”
Shabbir Rajkotwala, Founder and Managing Director of United Acoustic Private Limited, adds, “Through UniVicoustic, we are combining Vicoustic’s design and acoustic leadership with our manufacturing depth and scale to build a globally relevant brand that can serve projects across continents with consistency, quality, and responsibility.”
UniVicoustic used ISE Barcelona 2026 to present the first phase of its next-generation acoustic portfolio, underlining the brand’s ambitions in the professional AV, smart building and architectural acoustics sectors.
The stand also received third place in the ISE 2026 Stand Design Awards, an independent programme recognising exhibitors for stand design and presentation quality.
