CEDIA has announced Tech X Design, a new series of virtual education events that have been curated for the design community and are being supported by CEDIA Trade Supplier members.
With the first event taking place today, there is a further event planned for October 6, both offering two unique half-day programmes to provide designers and architects with an opportunity to learn how technology can add value to their projects and drive new business.
A key element to CEDIA’s three-year strategic plan is outreach to the design and build community. Tech X Design is the next step in this plan to raise the profile of CEDIA members amongst interior designers, architects, specifiers, and other design professionals to help build their business on strong foundations for the future.
“CEDIA is committed to fostering an understanding of home technology with the design community — and providing a platform to learn, earn CPD points, and have open discussions,” says Giles Sutton, CEDIA Senior Vice President of Industry Engagement. “Showcasing how other designers are working with home technology integrators is exactly the goal of Tech X Design. We’ll provide the forum and we want you to immerse yourself in the intersections shared when brilliant design and technology meet.
“I am particularly excited about the panel sessions that we have pulled together. The impacts of technology in the home are undeniable, but many times, designers and architects don’t know where to start. That is why we’ve set up each panel session to include professionals from the technology space and from the design community. Facilitating an open dialogue about what collaboration looks like is the first step to any successful project.”
