SurgeX launches Vertical Series+ smart PDU at ISE 2024.
Vertical Series+ pairs SurgeX’s strong power protection and conditioning technology with the cloud-connected power quality analytics, fleet management and risk prevention capabilities found within the SurgeX CONNECT platform. The Vertical Series+ PDU is well suited for many applications – from corporate meeting spaces to smart homes – and its form factor allows integrators to incorporate SurgeX’s leading power quality solutions into any project.
“Our Vertical Series+ PDU provides an intelligent, flexible power distribution solution, allowing integrators to save rack space with its vertical form factor and array of configurations,” says Justin Peyton, Director of Sales EMEA and APAC, AMETEK SurgeX. “Its compatibility with our SurgeX CONNECT platform delivers advanced remote power management and monitoring functionality, which allows partners to improve their service offering as well as save time and money by reducing expensive service call outs.”
Vertical Series+ comes in 8, 16, and 24 receptacle configurations, offering integrators a versatile PDU solution that can be easily installed with or alongside rack-mounted equipment. The Vertical Series+ offers analytical software, sequencing and monitoring capabilities, including remote power down and reboot, sequencing, power cycling, advanced scheduling, and Auto-Ping. The Vertical Series+ is compatible with popular control systems for integration in residential and commercial applications.
With SurgeX CONNECT, integrators can control, configure, and deploy compatible SurgeX devices from a centralised dashboard. This software can be remotely accessed from anywhere to monitor, identify, and alleviate recurring power issues to reduce downtime as well as the need for costly site visits.
Also at the show, SurgeX CONNECT will be highlighted which allows integrators to take control of their installations’ power quality from anywhere in the world, streamlining multi-site power management with an intuitive cloud-based dashboard. Partners can manage and monitor compatible SurgeX devices, diagnose power quality issues, and monitor multiple installations from a centralised hub with advanced analytics.
“SurgeX CONNECT is a fantastic, easy-to-use tool for integrators to ensure their installations are running optimally and minimise the need for expensive call outs and service visits,” says Justin Peyton, Director of Sales EMEA and APAC, AMETEK SurgeX. “Often a simple reboot can resolve system issues immediately. This can now be handled remotely, ensuring more uptime for customers, whilst saving costs. SurgeX CONNECT is a key component of our Protect + Connect approach, complementing our leading power management and power quality solutions – which safeguard expensive AV installations – with enhanced functionality. With the amount of processing in today’s AV systems, a remote power management solution is becoming more and more essential, so we can’t wait to demonstrate the benefits of SurgeX CONNECT to ISE attendees.”
The secure SurgeX CONNECT platform enables integrators to monitor, toggle, reboot, and control outlets and devices remotely, helping integrators meet power quality requirements across project sites. Designed to compile all facets of power management, integrators can also monitor and categorize devices based on status, connectivity, battery charge, battery life, input voltage, and energy usage, allowing them to identify and resolve device issues from afar.
SurgeX CONNECT is compatible with SQUID, UPS Standalone, and Vertical Series+ products in the SurgeX Protect + Connect family, with new Protect + Connect products coming in 2024. Check it all out on Stand 2Q500
