The Model O’s have been designed as a full range speaker created for placement close to walls for optimal timing and the most discrete, free standing installation.
The front and rear panels are available in any finish required to compliment or contrast with a room’s décor. Like all Steinway Lyngdorf systems, they are partnered with all digital electronics that incorporate RoomPerfect room correction providing a solution that the maker says delivers the most accurate, transparent music reproduction possible.
This full-range loudspeaker is designed to provide the legendary Steinway & Sons performance in a small package without the need for a separate woofer. The Model O functions as a surround speaker or in a stereo setup. Complete all digital systems start from £24,050.
The tweeter used in the Model O is the uniquely engineered Air Motion Transformer used in all Steinway Lyngdorf speakers. With a moving surface four times bigger than a normal dome tweeter, the resulting resolution and stress-free movements ensure the correct and detailed reproduction of all overtones of the instruments playing, says the speaker’s creator.
The midrange driver is a specially designed 6in aluminium driver with a very large magnet. This driver is efficient yet compact in size making it a good solution for maximising performance while minimising cabinet size. This midrange driver is paired with an 8in slave unit to provide full-range reproduction and impactful bass.
