Prove your humanity

Connections Europe will be taking place at the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam from November 2-3 2016. Assa Abloy will be there with its Yale brand where it will be showcasing its range of intelligent smart door locks.

Assa Abloy is particularly keen to showcase the Yale battery-powered ENTR Smart Lock, which enables users to unlock their front door with a smartphone, PIN code, remote control or fingerprint reader.

Easy to retrofit, ENTR replaces the existing locking cylinder, while just a few swipes on a phone or tablet screen enables the homeowner to share ‘digital keys’ with family or anyone who needs to access the home. These can also be revoked instantly. Completing the offering is a wire-free charger, remote fob, touchpad and fingerprint wall readers – sold separately.

The Yale range of residential smart locks also includes cylinder- and handle-based models developed specifically for markets and smart-home platforms across Europe, including Turkey, Sweden, Germany and the UK, where the Yale Smart Living portfolio integrates Yale smart locks with alarm and CCTV systems via a custom smartphone App.

Omer Sagi, director of business development for smart door Locks at Assa Abloy will present a session named ‘Smart Home and Connected Health’ during the event.

“Household security is getting ever more intelligent; with a domestic Internet of Things, digital living is becoming a reality,” says Thomas Schulz, director of marketing and communications at Assa Abloy EMEA. “We are already seeing significant adoption of consumer-facing IoT technologies and believe a truly smart home must start with a smart door.”

Working with IFSECGlobal.com, Assa Abloy recently published the results of a major survey of potential smart home security customers. What should a connected door lock do? What smart lock functionality do potential customers value most? How much are consumers willing to pay for a smart front door lock?

‘The Smart-Home Security Report 2016’ is available to potential partners and other businesses in the smart home sector and is available to pick up from the Assa Abloy showcase or by visiting www.assaabloy.co.uk/smartreport2016.
