Crestron EMEA has unveiled a new look to its showroom in the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, with it now boasting some of the latest technology offered by the automation giant.
Unveiling the new look, Robin van Meeuwen, Crestron EMEA CEO says: “The showroom is a fantastic example of collaboration – not only between Crestron and a number of our technology partners, but also with leading brands from the interiors worlds.
“The blend of cutting edge technology with innovative textiles, furnishings and decorative fittings delivers a truly unique space for our integrators and designers to bring their clients. Our Chelsea Showroom now brings together a compelling selection from leading brands in the interior design world.”
The showroom originally opened in 2013 and has proved a popular destination for integrators as well as interior designers, architects and consultants to bring their clients to experience lifestyle technology solutions in an environment that takes the emphasis away from ‘black boxes’ and places it firmly on the client experience of using technology and revealing the possibilities in a real-time, live environment.
In redeveloping the showroom, Crestron partnered with brands from the world of high-end design, creating what it believes is the epitome of the luxurious and immersive smart home experience.
Crestron brings its 4K DigitalMedia solution to the newly designed family room, complete with the Essence and Aspire speakers and flush mounted Cameo Keypads, which come in five colours and is fully customisable. The showroom also displays the latest remotes including the TSR-302/HR-150/HR-100 as well as the latest collaboration with Sonos enabling the Sonos App to be integrated with Crestron home automation systems.
These visible elements of the home control solution show guests how the technology can be blended into the interior design without being imposing. Other technology partners involved in the creation of the showroom include:
- Peerless AV: Providing Brackets for the screens in the showroom
- Samsung: Providing Video Wall Screens
- InFocus: Providing Touch Capacitive screen
“Partnerships in AV are all important and we’re very pleased to be asked to support Creston with our award-winning video wall mounts for their new Chelsea showroom,” says Gordon Dutch, managing director, Peerless-AV. “Initiatives such as these allow Peerless-AV to reach new audiences and help all our partners demonstrate AV solutions in the best possible way.”
The showroom features a high-spec fully functioning kitchen by Boffi, spacious dining room, home office and snug area, all complete with the latest designs, complemented by lighting controlled by Crestron.
Steven Salt, Managing Director at Boffi UK comments, “Boffi is delighted to announce the installation of its ON/OFF kitchen at the newly refurbished Crestron showroom at Chelsea Harbour, providing specifiers with a showcase of how Crestron’s control systems can work seamlessly within the kitchen environment.”
Crestron automation allows users to create ambient lighting scenes and adjust the colour temperature, taking the environment from day to night. This can be used to change to feel of a room, making it more adaptable for different social situations as well as being used to save energy by dimming or turning off lights in areas that are not occupied.
The showroom officially opened its doors today. Crestron will be hosting a series of events to celebrate the relaunch during the month of September and thereafter with plenty of opportunity for guests to visit the space and try out the latest kit.
