CEDIA has scheduled its first training event in the Spanish resort of Marbella, with the two day event taking place on November 10, 2015.
All current and prospective members in the region of southern Europe are being encouraged to attend with it being lauded as both a ‘training and networking’ event.
Throughout the two days, CEDIA will present a selection of its intermediate and advanced training courses.
The first session will be CEDIA’s Design Process and Documentation course, which explores all the documents that are needed to complete a successful project, including architectural plans, schematics, wiring schedules, change order forms and specification to final client sign off.
Also taking places on November 10 is CEDIA’s Residential Networking course, which provides a foundation for understanding IP.
This session is geared towards both beginners and individuals looking to increase their IP networking knowledge.
Those taking part should leave the session with a better understanding of common network protocols, the functions of a consumer router in a wired environment and begin basic troubleshooting in a consumer level IP network.
Gira, a manufacturer of intelligent electrical installation technology and building system technology, is an official sponsor of the CEDIA event. On the first day, Gira will host a 90min session entitled Gira, KNX and Building Technology.
Festivities on the second day of the event will feature two more of its most popular training sessions; the Sub Systems Design and Integration course and Audio, Video and Home Cinema For Installers session.
Those taking the Sub Systems Design and Integration course should receive an in-depth look at the sub systems that make up a typical residential install.
This includes understanding each systems components, communications and demarcation points; which will enable the students to design install and programme jobs successfully to practical completion.
The Audio, Video and Home Cinema For Installers session should teach attendees the most important technical information, basic design principles and the installation practices required for home cinema set-ups.
There will be a combination of both theoretical and practical learning, with the presenter covering design and installation practices for highest fidelity, the basics of home cinema set-up and calibration basics.
At the end of Tuesday’s training sessions, CEDIA will host a free Connect with CEDIA event for people in the industry to gain a better understanding of CEDIA and the benefits of membership as well as providing a forum for ideas and debate.
In the evening attendees will be encouraged to network with each other.
For CEDIA members, each course is priced at roughly €152 (£110), while for non-members, the cost is €215 (£155).
These rates include a 10% early bird discount, which is available until 31st October 2015.
