Shelly Group introduces two new additions to its growing IoT ecosystem: the Shelly Flood S Gen4 and Shelly PRO Sensor Add-on. Designed for both residential and professional automation environments, the new devices deliver enhanced compatibility, greater automation flexibility and more efficient monitoring capabilities.
Shelly Flood S Gen4: Intelligent protection against leaks with advanced rain detection
Shelly Flood S Gen4 is a smart protection sensor designed to detect water leaks before they cause costly damage. Engineered for early detection, the device identifies water presence even in hard-to-monitor areas around the home, making it ideal for installation beneath washing machines, dishwashers, sinks, boilers and in basements or garages.
Thanks to its stainless-steel sensing surfaces, Shelly Flood S Gen4 can detect even low-conductivity liquids such as HVAC condensation, distilled water and desalinated water, ensuring fast and reliable response when a flood risk is identified, says the company.
Once water is detected, the device can instantly send notifications, activate alarms or trigger automated actions such as shutting off an electric water valve.
In addition to indoor leak protection, Shelly Flood S Gen4 also features a dedicated Rain Mode for outdoor weather-based automations. This enables smart actions such as retracting awnings, pausing irrigation systems or sending rain alerts.
The device supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, Zigbee 3.0 and Matter, enabling seamless integration with a wide range of smart home ecosystems. It also supports local automations, allowing the device to continue operating even without an internet connection.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, Shelly Flood S Gen4 features IP67-rated protection and delivers up to two years of battery life.
Shelly PRO Sensor Add-on: Advanced monitoring for professional automation
Shelly PRO Sensor Add-on is a professional DIN-rail add-on module developed to extend the functionality of the Shelly PRO range by enabling integration with a wide variety of sensors and measurement systems.
The module supports 1-Wire interfaces, analogue 0–10V inputs, digital signals and dry-contact connections, making it compatible with temperature, humidity, CO₂, pressure, motion, leak detection and many other sensor types.
Featuring a galvanically isolated interface, the device delivers enhanced safety and reliability in professional electrical installations, says the company. It is designed for use in electrical panels across residential, commercial and industrial environments, including HVAC optimisation, environmental monitoring, automated irrigation systems, warehouses and manufacturing facilities.
Shelly PRO Sensor Add-on can be integrated into larger IoT automation systems using modern communication protocols and can be centrally managed through the Shelly Smart Control App. The device also supports automation scripting for highly customised and precise control.
Like all products in the Shelly PRO series, Shelly PRO Sensor Add-on comes with a five-year warranty.
