Qobuz has unveiled a major redesign of its Discover page, with human-curated music for discovery, from legends to emerging talents, enhanced by personalised recommendations to fit each user’s taste.
The French platform enriches its music discovery experience with a new Discover page built around three complementary spaces that allow users to choose their discovery style according to their preferences.
The redesigned homepage brings together a synthesis of the best from Our Picks and For You: a selection of Qobuz’s editorial offerings (New Releases, Playlists, Our Awards, Ideal Discography, Qobuzissime, Album of the Week) enriched with personalised features such as Recent Activity, Your Releases to Watch, Your Mixes and similar recommendations.
The Editor’s Picks space offers a discovery experience guided 100% by the Qobuz team of music experts to keep users up to date with the latest and greatest must-listen releases, from iconic groups to emerging talents, across all genres.
This ‘handcrafted’ selection also provides access to playlists showcasing labels and artists of the moment and the latest award-winning releases from top media publications.
The For You space relies on Qobuz’s recommendation engine, enriched by its music teams’ work, to compose an experience perfectly aligned with personal musical tastes, from Your Mixes and Radio Stations to Release Watch, Recently Played, suggestions based on similar artists and the user’s music library.
Release Watch is the major new feature of this update. It centralises recent releases from artists, labels and awards followed by the user. Updated in real-time and always visible on the homepage, it offers personalisation and comprehensive tracking, ensuring listeners never miss a new release likely to spark their interest.
Meanwhile, Your Mixes adopts a distinctive approach with DailyQ, daily suggestions and WeeklyQ, combining both human curation and algorithms to pull from the latest releases.
Spotlight highlights an artist that matches a listener’s preferences, displaying the artist’s releases, playlists and magazine articles on Qobuz. More than a simple recommendation, this feature offers an in-depth experience that showcases both iconic artists and emerging talents with both music and editorial content.
Essentials draws from a database of landmark albums selected by Qobuz’s editorial team, proposing must-listen classics corresponding to the user’s tastes. This feature prioritises exploration of iconic releases across music history, specifically curated for each listener’s taste.
The new Discover experience leverages Qobuz’s recent innovations. This includes the launch of Label and Award pages, as well as the Qobuz Connect feature, which allows for seamless streaming directly from the Qobuz app to speakers and devices.
