Trinnov Audio has announced a major software update for Altitude16 and Altitude32 processors. Featuring a brand-new user interface and Trinnov’s latest updated implementations of Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, and Auro-3D, this release is designed to bring a renewed user experience to all Altitude owners.
This free software update preserves all prior Trinnov Altitude features and functionality, including Trinnov Optimizer, WaveForming and Remapping, while updating the experience and unlocking new immersive audio capabilities.
One of the most significant improvements is the completely redesigned user interface, which simplifies daily operation, system configuration and advanced calibration.
The update also incorporates Trinnov’s latest implementations of immersive audio technologies, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro and Auro-3D decoding. It adds support for new features, such as Dolby Surround upmixing on wide channels.
Finally, the update introduces architectural improvements to the Altitude platform, ensuring it is prepared for future developments.
“We have significantly updated the Trinnov Altitude experience, with new features, streamlined operation and a user-friendly interface that will improve the experience for professionals and consumers alike – and true to our commitment to long-term value, we are offering these watershed improvements as a free software upgrade,” says Arnaud Laborie, CEO, Trinnov Audio. “With this update, the entire Altitude line has been re-engineered for more; and if you’re an Altitude owner, it’s already yours”
This software update will begin shipping on all newly produced Altitude16 and Altitude32 units starting before year-end. It will be made available to existing installations later and into 2026, following controlled validation and staging.
This announcement comes well in advance of availability, as a courtesy to Trinnov’s integration partners and customers. This is a significant update, requiring reconfiguration and recalibration.
This update can only be triggered by a licensed Trinnov dealer and end-users interested in upgrading will need to contact their authorised integrator. Upgrading is necessary to benefit from future updates, but there is no urgency. Trinnov states it will continue to fully support current software versions throughout the transition period.
Integrators are advised to keep the update timeline in mind when scheduling upcoming calibration and firmware updates for installed devices.
Trinnov will host training and demonstrations of the new Altitude UI throughout CEDIA Expo in Denver, September 3-6. You can visit the Trinnov High Performance Audio room 208 for a hands-on exploration of the new Altitude experience.
