Lewis CaliburnTheory Audio Design has announced its highly-anticipated ic5 high-output in-ceiling loudspeaker. Little brother to the ic6 (6.5in in-ceiling loudspeaker), the ic5 (5in in-ceiling loudspeaker) offers what the brand is calling “astonishing performance” from a smaller aperture.
A discreet and highly capable solution, the ic5 is ideal for residential or commercial installations, surround sound or distributed audio.
Due to its sealed design and optional all-weather grille, it offers specifiers and installers a solution for outdoor applications including marine. ic5 also offers a maximum output of 108dB thanks to the advanced polymer compression drivers and 5-inch carbon fiber woofer.
For large, distributed installs, the ic5 includes a switch-selectable 70V/100v transformer that can be driven directly by Theory’s DLC Series Loudspeaker Controllers.

The ic5 will begin shipping worldwide later in September 2025.
