Lewis CaliburnT+A elektroakustik has updated its Solitaire T headphone range with a new addition; the original Solitaire T White is being replaced by the new Solitaire T Cognac White, which combines the meticulously tuned sound signature and driver and electronics of the multi-use headphones, with an elegant new design scheme.
“When we set out to design the Solitaire T Cognac White, our guiding question was: How can we refine the aesthetic essence of such a groundbreaking headphone without diluting its technical brilliance?” says Conradin Amft, T+A’s COO. “That’s why we never considered altering the core technical design of the headphones. Instead, our newly expanded design team focused on elevating the materials to reflect and enhance the technical sophistication of the Solitaire T.”
The Solitaire T’s headband has been refined with a bi-colour finish, while custom-matched ear cup inserts and pads further amplify the new Solitaire T Cognac White.
The collection also introduces a new custom-designed carry case for the headphones. Made from animal-free leather, the case echoes the cognac hue of the headband.
While the Solitaire T Cognac White boasts a luxurious new aesthetic, its technical heart remains unchanged: a 42mm transducer with a specialised cellulose diaphragm that balances rigidity and lightness to deliver what the manufacturer is calling “unparalleled speed and dynamics without breaking into resonance”. This foundation underpins the Solitaire T sound – whether in active or passive mode.
To ensure this sound experience is available even on the go, the Solitaire T’s digital components are equipped with a Qualcomm QCC 5127 chip. Paired with an Esstech ES9218 Sabre DAC, the Solitaire T in HQ Mode bridges the gap between wired and wireless sound quality.
