Swann has announced the launch of its EliteX 6K NVR Security System. According to the manufacturer, the new range marks a major step forward in security technology, setting new benchmarks for robustness and intelligence – reminiscent of the effect Swann’s HaLow technology had on the wireless arena.
Equipped with four Dome or Bullet Cameras (with the option to connect up to 16 in total) and offering 6K/12MP Mega HD resolution, the EliteX is optimised to capture every vital detail, from faces to number plates, with exceptional accuracy.
Swann encourages users to put down their phones and let the EliteX handle the monitoring. Users have the option to have events triggered by people, or from people, vehicles or pets entering a perimeter intrusion zone, which they can customise for each camera. The EliteX also provides users with customisable detection grids to specify exact areas for notification. When motion is detected within these areas, an alert is sent immediately to the user’s mobile device.
Integrated spotlights and sirens act as real-time intruder deterrents, while colour night vision reportedly offers vivid detail up to 82 feet/25 metres in darkness. With pre- and post-event recording, allegedly no moment is missed, and Swann’s “Smart Search” function facilitates easy footage review.
Designed with weatherproof IP66-rated cameras and a two-way audio service, the EliteX system has been designed to ensure comprehensive, professional-grade coverage for any property in any environment – all with free local storage and no ongoing fees.
Power over Ethernet (PoE) guarantees robust, 24/7 operation, without the fear of Wi-Fi dropouts or interruptions. Users can store their recordings locally with 2TB of internal hard drive storage, while future expansion is covered with the ability to extend the eight-channel NVR to 16 channels by adding a network switch.
The Swann EliteX 6K NVR Security System is available for purchase now, at a starting retail price of £599.99. Details on availability and pricing for further regions will follow in due course.
