International Audio Holding has introduced the rebirth of Sphinx. Once a revered name known for amplifiers and electronics in the ‘80s and ‘90s under Siltech’s engineering heritage, Sphinx has now been reimagined as a new force in high-end audio.
As the fourth pillar joining Siltech, Crystal Cable and HMS Elektronik, Sphinx enters the market with a vision to create advanced audio engineering products that complement the evolving world of music reproduction.
The brand’s new identity starts with the launch of the Sphinx Elements loudspeaker line, making its world premiere at High End Munich 2025.
Sphinx Element is not merely another loudspeaker series, claims the manufacturer. It represents a philosophy shaped by decades of research, experience and technical mastery in metallurgy, acoustics and audio system design and uses principles from Siltech’s Symphony loudspeaker and Crystal Cable’s Minissimo Forte loudspeaker.
Built around ‘Zero Gravity Bass’ technology, Element 3 aims to avoid cabinet-induced compression artifacts, unlocking an organic and natural sound with low distortion, faster transient response and deep bass.
With carefully sculpted cabinet designs, bespoke PAC (passive-active crossover) filters for driver integration and premium internal wiring drawn from the brand’s legacy of material science, Element 3 is the first step in the Sphinx journey.
While it makes its grand debut in Munich, visitors will also catch a glimpse of what’s next. Future models — including a larger sibling in the Element lineup — are already in development, expanding the Sphinx offering for those seeking bigger sound while preserving the signature openness and finesse.
Sphinx is designed to become a full ecosystem of audio engineered products, from speakers to electronics and beyond, carrying forward the engineering DNA of Siltech and Crystal Cable into a new generation.
Ther brand invites global press, media and audio enthusiasts to discover Sphinx in person at Atrium 4.1 Room F130 from May 15–18, 2025.
