Sharp Consumer Electronics has launched a new Dolby Atmos model to its soundbar portfolio. The 2.0.2 channel HT-SB700 is Sharp’s most compact and affordable Dolby Atmos soundbar to date and is developed for small to medium-sized rooms.

Despite its compact design, the soundbar offers a “true” Dolby Atmos experience with immersive 3D surround sound. In addition to Dolby Atmos, other audio formats such as Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD can be decoded and reproduced.

The soundbar offers a wide range of connections, which include Bluetooth 5.3 (with SBC and AAC codecs), HDMI (with eARC and CEC), as well as Optical and an Aux audio inputs.

With a total output power of 140 watts, the soundbar features two front-firing speakers and two up-firing height speakers.

Five preset equalisers (Movie, Music, Voice, Night and EQ-Off) with bass and treble adjustment offer a customised sound profile to suit most types of audio content. The HT-SB700 can be controlled by remote control from the comfort of a sofa or with the one-touch buttons on the device.

The Sharp HT-SB700 is characterised not only by its audio quality but also by its elegant finish, sporting a metal front grille with a matt black finish.

Specially developed for use with small to medium sized televisions, its dimensions (52 x 11.3 x 7.2cm) make it an ideal option to enhance TV audio performance where space is at a premium.

The Sharp HT-SB700 soundbar is available now for a suggested retail price of €199.00 (£199.99).
