Q Acoustics has introduced the E60, an in-wall, easy install audio system designed to seamlessly integrate high-quality sound into any home. Combining wireless Bluetooth connectivity with an elegant design, E60 also delivers an installer-friendly approach that reduces both installation time and complexity.
The E60 represents a new entry-level addition to Q Acoustics’ easy install family, joining the E120 Bluetooth and DAB radio in-wall system and E300A, a smart voice controlled in-ceiling amplifier.
The E60 is IP54 splash-proof, requiring no additional silicone sealant, making it ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, garden summer houses and other humid environments. A screwless clip-in fixing system ensures fast installation and a clean, seamless finish, while the black and white finishes complement modern interiors. Clear LED indicators provide immediate visual feedback without being intrusive, dimming automatically in low-light conditions to avoid disturbing occupants.
The integrated 2 x 25-watt power amplifier comfortably drives up to two pairs of quality in-ceiling speakers or cabinet models, delivering controlled, balanced but dynamic performance across a wide range of listening environments. The system is tuned and optimised for use with Q Acoustics’ range of high-performance in-ceiling, in-wall and outdoor easy install speakers, while maintaining full compatibility with third-party install speakers for maximum flexibility.
The E60 also offers a highly practical mono mode, selectable via a simple switch. This allows both audio channels to be played through both speakers, making the system a cost-effective solution for spaces such as bedroom and bathroom combinations, where consistent sound coverage is more important than stereo imaging.
Wireless audio is handled via Bluetooth 5.0, supporting two-way control for volume, play/pause and track skip. For wired sources, an optical digital input allows easy connection to a television or other external source, making the E60 equally suitable for music playback or TV audio enhancement.
Further system expansion is supported through a fixed or variable analogue line output, enabling straightforward connection to a subwoofer or an additional power amplifier. This allows installers to scale the system to meet the specific needs of each project without unnecessary complexity.
Ease of use remains central to the E60 design. The touch-sensitive controls, inherited from the E120, offer enhanced performance and long-term reliability. This is particularly valuable in environments such as bathrooms, where operation with wet fingers is common. LED indicators brighten during adjustments for clear visibility, then gently dim to maintain a discreet presence.
