Marantz has introduced two new additions to its hi-fi portfolio: the MODEL 70 Integrated Amplifier and CD 70 CD Player.
Building upon the success of PM6007 and CD6007, the new MODEL 70 and CD 70 represent the next evolution of Marantz’s entry-level hi-fi offering. Designed for today’s music lovers, they combine the brand’s sound signature, craftsmanship and premium industrial design with enhanced performance and features tailored to contemporary listening habits.
MODEL 70 and CD 70 feature Marantz’s distinctive full-width architecture, high-quality materials and carefully considered detailing. Available in Black and Silver-Gold finishes, their clean, contemporary aesthetic is designed to complement modern living spaces, appealing to culture-driven consumers who see audio as an integral part of their home environment, not just a standalone system.
Beyond their visual appeal, every aspect of each product’s construction has been engineered to deliver an elevated listening experience. The MODEL 70 amplifier employs an upgraded current-feedback Class A/B amplification topology delivering 50 watts per channel, supported by an enhanced power supply and larger toroidal transformer. The result is greater dynamic expression, improved speaker control and increased authority across a wide range of loudspeaker pairings.

A high-performance DAC ensures impressive digital playback quality, while Marantz’s proprietary HDAM circuitry preserves the speed, accuracy and musical character that define the brand’s sound. For vinyl enthusiasts, a high-quality MM phono stage allows direct turntable connection.
MODEL 70 has been designed to fit naturally into the way customers enjoy listening today.
The addition of HDMI ARC elevates television audio performance while retaining the simplicity of TV remote volume control. Meanwhile, Bluetooth connectivity has also been significantly expanded, supporting both receive and transmit functionality with aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, AAC and SBC codecs. Users can stream music in high quality from compatible mobile devices or enjoy personal music or even TV listening through wireless headphones.
A comprehensive range of analogue and digital inputs, together with both preamplifier and subwoofer outputs, ensures flexibility for a broad range of listening environments and system configurations.
Meanwhile, for listeners who continue to value physical media and high-resolution digital collections, CD 70 continues Marantz’s long-standing commitment to disc playback. The front-panel USB-A input adds significant versatility, supporting playback of high-resolution audio formats including FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF and DSD, making CD 70 an ideal partner for people with extensive digital music libraries.
Every aspect of the CD 70’s construction has been carefully optimised to minimise noise and preserve musical detail. An upgraded power supply, double-layered chassis base, rigid isolation feet and strategically deployed copper hardware all contribute to improved stability and reduced interference. For personal listening, a fully discrete headphone amplifier featuring HDAM technology adjustable gain control and automatic headphone detection is provided.
MODEL 70 and CD 70 are packaged using environmentally conscious materials designed to reduce plastic consumption while maintaining a premium ownership experience. Responsibly sourced FSC-certified carton materials, paper-based protective elements and thoughtfully designed packaging solutions help minimise environmental impact without compromising product presentation.
While MODEL 70 and CD 70 excel individually, together they form a complete Marantz hi-fi system that combines exceptional sonic synergy with elegant design and everyday usability.
Commenting on the launch, Lyle Smith, President of Sound United brands at HARMAN, says, “MODEL 70 and CD 70 perfectly capture what Marantz stands for today. They honour the legacy of two of our most successful and celebrated products while introducing a new level of design sophistication, performance and versatility. Each component is designed for music lovers who want authentic hi-fi performance, beautiful craftsmanship and effortless integration into their modern lifestyle. Together, they perfectly represent Marantz’s enduring commitment to musical excellence.”
Customers can experience the new CD 70 from August 15th at Marantz.com and from selected retailers.
