Kordz returns to CEDIA Expo with brand new cables

Kordz will return to CEDIA Expo 2025 with an extensive lineup of cables designed to meet the current and emerging demands of modern residential AV systems.

Kordz will debut its PRO4 Active Optical HDMI Cable at the Future Ready Solutions Booth #2838. This cable will take centre stage during a live, continuous “power lifting” demo. With a 20kg pull-force rating, a single PRO4 cable will suspend a full box of Cat6 cable while simultaneously powering a live TV display. Despite the considerable strain, the slim 4.7mm-diameter cable easily holds firm, demonstrating its durability and strength under pressure.

The Kordz PRO4 Active Optical HDMI Cable supports full 48Gbps uncompressed bandwidth at distances up to 100 metres without the need for external power or boosters. This enables seamless transmission of 8K and 10K video with zero signal degradation, zero latency and rock-solid reliability, mitigating common issues like signal loss and connector damage that can derail high-stakes AV projects, especially those involving long cable runs in tight, demanding environments.

The PRO4 combines OM3 fibre, oxygen-free copper conductors and tip-to-tip foil shielding to ensure pristine signal delivery. Compact, gold-plated HDMI connectors provide a secure fit and long-lasting performance, while the 4.7mm cable diameter simplifies installation in dense racks, conduits and behind-wall spaces.

Internally reinforced to sustain a 20kg pull force, the cable delivers strength without sacrificing flexibility or manageability. Fire-rated to UL CMG standards, it’s equally suited for residential and commercial installations.

As the first product on the market to earn DPL Labs’ Enhanced 48G Reference Standard certification, every PRO4 AOC HDMI cable is individually tested to ensure true 48Gbps performance across its full length. This certification eliminates many of the interoperability challenges integrators face, offering added confidence for even the most complex projects.

In addition to its technical excellence, the PRO4 line includes both active optical and passive variants and is packaged in easy-open, 100% recyclable materials as part of Kordz’ ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility across its product portfolio.

As integrators take on more commercial projects, by popular demand, Kordz has purpose-built a reliable and economical connectivity solution in the new ONEv2 Passive HDMI Cable. Ideal for high-volume deployments in hospitality, corporate, retail and education environments, the ONEv2 supports uncompressed 4K HDMI signals at 18Gbps from 0.5 to 5.0 metres. Competitively priced for bulk purchasing, it empowers integrators to scale confidently without compromising quality.

Engineered for commercial reliability, the cable features a slim, flexible, fire-rated PVC jacket, compact connector assembly and 1kg retention force, ensuring durability and ease of installation in dense racks and tight spaces. Each cable is individually tested to meet Kordz’ rigorous ‘Connectivity Assured’ standard and backed by a lifetime warranty. The new ONEv2 HDMI cables come in eco-friendly, 100% recyclable paper packaging that is quick and easy to open and dispose of when speed and sustainability are essential.

Kordz is also bringing its ‘Connectivity Assured’ approach to USB-C at CEDIA Expo 2025, launching a new range of PRO Active Optical and Passive USB-C cables engineered for reliable, high-performance AV.

Kordz has designed its USB-C range to deliver full-featured, certified USB4 Gen2 and USB3.2 Gen2 functionality without the hassles. Whether for desktop setups, rack-mounted devices or long-run connections, there’s a purpose-made option to meet the AV and power requirements of today’s systems.

The PRO Passive USB-C cables support high-bandwidth data up to 20Gbps, 4K60 DisplayPort video and up to 240W power in lengths from 0.5 to 2 metres, 60W at 3 metres. For longer distances, the PRO Active Optical USB-C cables support 10Gbps data transmission, 4K60 video and 60W power delivery up to 10 metres, making it ideal for clean installs without extenders or converters.

Among the handy features, every cable features a compact polycarbonate connector to minimise strain on device ports, a metal internal shell for strong EMI shielding, VW-1 fire rating, backed by rigorous in-house testing for consistent performance and a two-year warranty.

Kordz is making it easier for integrators to deliver reliable Cat6 network infrastructures to outdoor environments with the debut of a full line of professional-grade, outdoor-rated Cat6 cabling.

  • PRO SlimCat Outdoor Cat6: Adding to its SlimCat line, a 28AWG ultra-slim cable, ideal for discreet, space-restricted or retrofit projects. Delivers 10Gbps up to 50 metres, with full PoE++ support.
  • ONE Outdoor Cat6: A robust 24AWG above-ground cable delivering 10Gbps up to 55 metres and 1Gbps up to 100 metres.
  • ONE Direct Burial Cat6: Same performance, built with a durable PE jacket and water-blocking gel filler for long-term underground use.

All three Kordz Cat6 outdoor networking cables are UV-stabilised and comply with global standards. They are metre-marked for precision, packaged for speed on-site and integrate seamlessly with Kordz’ existing system components.

Kordz will also introduce the ONE Outdoor Speaker Cable, extending its popular indoor line. Engineered for long-term durability and reliable performance, this 14AWG cable is designed for above-ground installations, featuring a UV-resistant outer jacket that protects against environmental damage. Inside, oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors ensure clear, reliable sound over extended distances, supporting consistent audio performance across large outdoor zones.

A flexible, installer-friendly design simplifies trenching and cable pulls, even in challenging terrain. It is packaged in easy-to-use pull-boxes, making on-site handling efficient and hassle-free.

The popular Kordz Termination Challenge is back for another round of hands-on fun at CEDIA Expo 2025. Attendees can visit the Future Ready Solutions Booth #2838 to build and test their termination skills, best their peers and try to beat the impressive current challenge record of 35:05 seconds.

Open to all skill levels, the competition follows an “against-the-clock” format, offering participants the chance to win prizes and, of course, bragging rights as the CEDIA Expo 2025 Termination Challenge Champion.

“At Kordz, we don’t just design products, we engineer connectivity of successful, long-lasting systems,” says James Chen, Kordz Managing Director. “Our goal is to eliminate pain points for integrators by delivering solutions that install faster, perform better and stand the test of time. The new innovations we’re introducing this year at CEDIA Expo are products integrators have been asking for and a direct reflection of this commitment. We’ve pushed the envelope in all facets of cable quality and are excited to share the results with the integration community.”
