Fyne Audio has launched its new F500S Series of loudspeakers at the Bristol HiFi Show, marking a significant audio and aesthetic upgrade over its F500 Series – and without an increase in RRP.
The F500S range marks a further step in the company’s commitment to point-source driver technology while upgrading the original F500 electronics, BassTrax porting system and finish options.
The F500S Series features five models to suit diverse listening needs: the 5-inch IsoFlare bookshelf F5S, the F500S; a 6-inch IsoFlare stand-mounted loudspeaker; the F501S, a 2 x 6-inch floor-standing loudspeaker; and the F502S, a 2 x 8-inch floor-standing loudspeaker.
This lineup also includes the F500S LCR, featuring 2 x 6-inch drivers plus a 6-inch Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) for horizontal, vertical or wall-mounted use.
Building on the legacy of the original F500 Series, the F500S range incorporates advancements designed to deliver “exceptional stereo imaging”, natural midrange and smooth, extended treble. The driver technology, updated for the new F500S Series, ensures isotropic energy radiation with point-source constant directivity.
IsoFlare
Fyne Audio’s drivers seamlessly integrate the tweeter and woofer into a single-point source. This approach includes a neodymium HF magnet with a vented rear chamber to minimise resonance and a 25mm magnesium HF diaphragm with self-damping properties pushing breakup modes beyond 30kHz.
Each HF waveguide has a computer-optimised expansion pattern and unique geometry to provide flat frequency response and avoid internal reflections. Crucially, the new waveguides improve dispersion over the previous generation F500 for further enhanced stereo imaging and better off-axis performance.
The LF section offers a multifibre cone, chosen for its natural sound and predictable characteristics, terminated with roll surround technology, designed to deliver a clean transient response.
Building on the patented BassTrax Tractrix Diffuser System, which has proven a perfect partner to the point-source driver, the F500S delivers bass with uniform energy distribution, reducing each speaker’s sensitivity to room positioning.
The high-rigidity MDF cabinets are offered in high-quality real wood veneers or piano-grade gloss paint and finished with premium details, including robust, bi-wire speaker binding posts and stabilising plinths and magnetic rear grille storage on the floor standing models.
The F500S LCR forgoes BassTrax in favour of a motor-damped ABR LF tuning and is supplied with wall brackets.

The Bristol Show 2025 additionally marks the expansion of Fyne Audio’s entry-level F500E range with the slim F55E.
Answering customer demand for a compact floor standing model with the refinement and articulation of the F5E, but with LF power and extension only a larger floor standing cabinet can deliver, the F55E combines a 5-inch/125mm IsoFlare with 5-inch bass driver in a cabinet just 925mm tall and 210mm wide.
Designed, prototyped, tuned and tested at Fyne’s new R&D facility and line factory in the Bellshill area of Glasgow, the F500S models and the new F55E offer value thanks to manufacturing at Fyne’s state-of-the-art partner facility in Indonesia.
