Epson adds two 4K PRO-UHD home laser projectors to range

Epson has added two new high end professional home laser projectors – the EH-QS100W and EH-QS100B – to its EH-Q Series. These join the EH-QB1000W/B, EH-QL3000W/B and EH-QL7000W/B lifestyle projectors.

The cutting edge EH-QS100W in white, and EH-QS100B in black, professional home super-short-throw projectors utilise Epson’s laser light source technology and combined with 4K PRO-UHD resolution are optimised to deliver brightness, image quality and versatility.

Their near to the wall positioning (super-short-throw) can turn any area from dedicated media spaces to well-lit living rooms, into a cinema and reportedly deliver an immersive, professional quality, vibrant experience.

With their close proximity to the wall, any shadows are eliminated and cables for the projector, audio and video equipment can all be tidied away out of sight. Whether it’s watching films, sports or gaming, the projectors deliver bright images up to 160” in a compact and easy to set up design.

The projectors are powered by advanced 3LCD laser technology to deliver 4K PRO-UHD for the required image quality for clear, sharp details and smooth fast-moving action. The image size is scalable up to 160 inches and 4,500 lumens ensures high image brightness and a high contrast ratio for deeper blacks, making them particularly well suited for living and media rooms.

With a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for well-defined shadows and even deeper blacks, these professional home projectors also feature a range of advanced image enhancement technologies, such as 4K frame interpolation to ensure smooth images and high resolution.

With advanced features such as Dynamic Tone Mapping to enhance visual quality on a frame-by-frame basis, and HDR10+ for more vivid and lifelike colours, the new projectors are designed to deliver a viewing experience for both films and sport. Additional features include HDR10 support, 4K frame interpolation, 4K super resolution, scene adaptive gamma correction, auto contract enhancement, auto contrast enhancement and dynamic tone mapping.

Compatible with a wide range of IP control systems, the projectors can be integrated with existing installations and are fast and easy to set up, while its near-instant warm-up and cool-down times contribute to its energy-efficiency and long (20,000 hour) laser life.

Plus, its integrated Crestron, Control4 and RS232C/wired LAN support means the range can be easily integrated into a Smart Home Network.

The Epson Setting Assistant App is compatible with the EH-QS100, so if any customers need to adjust the projection by themselves after installation, it’s easy to do without the installer needed to visit.

Ben White, Product Manager for professional home projectors at Epson Europe says, “These latest additions to our Q Series range of professional home laser projectors demonstrates how committed we are to this exciting market. As the demand for larger screen entertainment grows, these projectors are emerging as a cost-effective alternative to flat panel screens and achieve high quality, vibrant and expansive images in bright living spaces or media rooms.”

The EH-QS100B/W is now available from a selection of specialist home cinema and pro AV resellers and integrators often as part of a full home media installation.
