Denon Home multi-room wireless speaker system boasts new updates

Denon’s Home multi-room wireless speakers have received a significant boost via a series of new upgrades.

First and foremost is the addition of QoBuz Connect, the high-resolution music streaming and download app. Qobuz is known for its musical diversity and editorial independence, being a strong cultural alternative based on discovery and quality, far removed from the mainstream players in the sector. Qobuz joins TIDAL and Deezer, both services which are already supported on Denon Home.

Elsewhere, Denon Home’s HEOS control app also sees a series of other enhancements, including a faster loading time for the Home Screen that shaves off an additional two plus seconds before displaying content.

Furthermore, the total number of tracks that can be added to the HEOS play queue has been increased to 1,000 (up from 300). This means saved playlists can now hold up to 1,000 tracks. Meanwhile, Group Presets allows users to save and quickly recall specific room groupings. Through the HEOS control app, Denon Home wireless speakers also now support SMB 3.0 for network sharing and are Roon Ready.

Denon Home has never been more competitively priced, points out the manufacturer. For example, a pair of Denon Home 150 wireless speakers can be bought for £329 exclusively from Richer Sounds. Meanwhile, the Denon Home Sound Bar 550 now costs £399, compared to £599 at introduction. The Denon Home family comprises: Denon Home 150; Denon Home 250; Denon Home 350; Denon Home Sound Bar 550; Denon Home Subwoofer.

As Denon Home is part of the HEOS family, it can work with a wide range of Denon and Marantz devices, such as AV receivers, soundbars and hi-fi components that have HEOS Built-in.

The system offers gapless playback of high-resolution files including 192kHz/24-bit FLAC, WAV, ALAC and DSD 2.8/5.6MHz, while it lets users stream via Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2 or Bluetooth.
