Using simple Bluetooth setup, it requires no hub — just connect and go — helping reduce installation time, avoid extra hardware, and minimise the chance of call-backs.
The range includes both 1-gang and 2-gang, master and secondary switches in the white moulded profile, along with retrofit smart dimmer modules compatible with BG decorative dimmer ranges. No neutral wire is required, making the system suitable for standard lighting circuits in a wide variety of residential applications.
Smart Controls for Added Value
With demand for smart home upgrades continuing to grow, BG says the Smart Dimmer provides a strong upsell opportunity for wholesalers and contractors. The free BG Smart App allows users to adjust brightness, set schedules, and enable random operation while away from home.
Contractors can pre-configure timers, presets, and lighting scenes during installation, delivering a fully set-up system for clients. The app is compatible with Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant for easy integration into connected home environments.
Lighting Control from Anywhere
The BG Smart App offers full dimming control, timer setup, and scene creation. Existing BG Home devices can be migrated to the new app using the BG Connect feature. As no hub is needed, users simply download the app and pair the device to get started.
