AVPro Edge has introduced the AC-EXUSB-3-WP-KIT, a single-gang wall plate extender designed to provide USB 3.2 Gen 1 host extension for professional AV installations.
The system enables USB signal extension over category cabling up to 100m (328ft), pairing with a desktop receiver to support simplified connectivity in workplace and commercial environments. The wall plate includes a USB Type-C data port for connecting laptops and other host devices, alongside a dedicated USB Type-C power input capable of delivering up to 65W of charging power.
According to the company, the solution is designed to reduce cable clutter and streamline installations by combining USB extension and device charging within a single wall-mounted interface.
The AC-EXUSB-3-WP-KIT supports USB 3.2 Gen 1, 2.0 and 1.0 devices simultaneously and is compatible with standard US and EU single-gang electrical boxes.
Additional features include Power over HDBaseT (PoH) support to power the receiver via category cable, as well as compatibility with DisplayLink USB video devices and compliance with UVC 1.5 and UAC 3.0 standards.
Available in black and white finishes, the product is backed by a 10-year manufacturer warranty.
