AMR unveiled the Luna Series at High End Vienna 2026 as part of the brand’s official relaunch. Developed over more than seven years in collaboration with engineer John Curl, the Luna Series comprises three components: the Luna Ingenii DAC, Luna Medii preamplifier and Luna Procellarum monoblock power amplifier.
Described by the company as its most ambitious achievement to date, AMR says the collection was created without conventional cost constraints, with every element driven solely by engineering purity and sonic performance.
Among the headline features is the Luna Procellarum’s fully balanced FET amplifier architecture. AMR describes this as a world-first 4-Quadrant Fully Balanced FET Amplifier designed to deliver fully symmetrical operation and exceptional control across all load conditions.
The Luna Ingenii DAC incorporates a True 32-bit Multi-Bit DAC Engine featuring two TDA1541A chips and eight AD1862 chips, supported by more than 700 additional components. The unit also includes AMR’s proprietary 128-stage discrete Direct DSD ‘Stonehenge’ Engine.
For the Luna Medii preamplifier, AMR has developed what it describes as a world-first Zero In-Line Element Volume Control topology, which places no potentiometer, stepped attenuator or volume IC in the signal path.
Across the range, the products utilise AMR’s AirLock power architecture, designed to electrically isolate the components from the AC mains while providing battery-like low-impedance energy delivery and active noise cancellation.
Additional technologies include Bit-Gravity Harmonic Weighting within the Luna Ingenii DAC, an industry-exclusive feature that allows listeners to fine-tune the tonal character of digital playback.
The Luna Series also incorporates a range of ultra-rare, ultra-precision components, including pure silver wiring, Audio Note Silver Tantalum resistors, custom Teflon capacitors, Exicon lateral MOSFETs, WBT NextGen silver connectors and hand-matched NOS tubes throughout.
AMR says every unit is meticulously hand-assembled, matched and calibrated by senior technicians, with production limited by craftsmanship rather than manufacturing capacity.
Production of the Luna Series will be strictly limited to 176 Luna Ingenii DACs, 186 Luna Medii preamplifiers and 148 pairs of Luna Procellarum monoblocks. The company has also committed to providing lifetime service and support for every owner.
The Luna Series will be available through AMR’s private client programme and a select network of authorised dealers worldwide. Pricing is available on request to prospective customers, reviewers and industry partners.
