Amazon has announced the launch of the Echo Show 21, a new wall-mounted smart home panel nearly double the size of the Echo Show 15.
Alongside the new model, Amazon is upgrading the Echo Show 15 with advanced features to further enhance its capabilities.
The new Echo Show 21 boasts improved audio performance with more immersive sound, deeper bass, and adaptive room technology. Camera upgrades include better auto-framing, a larger field of view, and 65% more zoom, along with advanced noise reduction for clearer video calls.
Retaining its Alexa-enabled smart home control as a core feature, the new devices also integrate an updated smart home hub.
The updated Echo Show 15 (£249.99) and the new Echo Show 21 (£349.99) aim to simplify smart home device management, allowing users to set up and control devices with voice commands or simple touch gestures.
Customisable widgets display key information such as calendars, news headlines, and sports scores directly on the home screen. Both devices also function as Matter controllers and are compatible with Wi-Fi, Thread, and Zigbee devices. Local control options include lights, switches, and plugs. Notably, these are the first Echo devices to feature Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
The Echo Show 21’s larger display enhances its media capabilities, offering seamless streaming from popular platforms and AI-enhanced content discovery. Users can begin watching Prime Video on the Echo Show and easily switch to a Fire TV for a continuous viewing experience.
In addition to streaming, the Echo Show 21 doubles as a digital photo frame with an aesthetic reminiscent of Samsung’s Frame displays.
A new audio hub brings together favourite music, podcasts, and radio in one place, with a tap-to-group feature for synchronised playback across Echo speakers.
With its larger screen and upgraded features, the Echo Show 21 is designed to offer a more immersive and integrated smart home experience.
