Acoustic Energy has announced the launch of the AE2 40th Anniversary, an exclusive, limited-time production loudspeaker created in response to overwhelming demand.
Celebrating four decades of innovation, the AE2 40th Anniversary revives a model with cutting-edge enhancements, combining heritage design with modern acoustic engineering.
Building on the success of the AE1 40th Anniversary Edition, the new AE2 40th Anniversary incorporates the same newly developed woofer and tweeter drive units. This latest incarnation draws inspiration from the brand’s AE2 Signature model of the ‘90s, carrying forward its legacy while integrating the technical advancements that have defined Acoustic Energy’s latest generation of loudspeakers.
The AE2 40th Anniversary delivers a significantly enhanced sonic experience, offering greater bass extension, increased headroom and lower midband distortion. The result is a cleaner, more transparent sound at everyday listening levels.
While retaining the tonal balance and dynamic precision of the AE1 40th Anniversary, the AE2 40th Anniversary expands on its performance within a carefully engineered offset midtweeter-mid (M-T-M) driver layout. To achieve its low colouration, the cabinet design incorporates strategically placed steel plates, matching the acoustic integrity of the AE1 40th Anniversary while delivering a larger, more authoritative soundstage.
