Prove your humanity

Supported by OneAV, the home of calibration hardware experts Murideo in the EMEA, book now for Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), Level I, II and III training delivered by Joel Silver, president and founder of the Imaging Science Foundation, Inc.

The opportunity takes place from July 17 to July 19, in London and delivers the chance to learn from one of the industry’s top experts on imaging.

Joel also volunteers as the chair of the CEA and CEDIA committee on Home Theatre Video recommended practices, is the producer of the HDTV Calibration Wizard DVD and his work on advancing HDTV image quality has been covered in the NY Times, the LA Times, Popular Mechanics, Wired and numerous AV publications.

With the 2013 release of the HDMI 2.0 specification, the onset of 4K products and content, and most recently the addition of High Dynamic Range (HDR) functionality, it’s possible to argue that calibration has become secondary to simply getting the signal distributed.

For these reasons, One AV says it is paramount to its mission of delivering the best picture possible and matching the director’s intent to the end user, that we get the complete signal there first, from source to sink via all repeaters in the HDMI network.

The hands-on training in distributing and controlling 4K60 (4:4:4) signal distribution will take place in a multi-room dwelling where installers will learn and do what it takes to get the signal from a new UHD HDR player to every zone in the installation via various devices including fibre optic, HDBaseT, and HDMI over IP.

Installers will also, learn how to control these devices using third-party control system brands like Control 4 and RTI while they explore and learn HDR-10, Dolby Vision and HLG video calibration on today’s latest display technologies including flat panels and projectors.

Course breakdown

Day 1: What it takes to get high value (>14Gbps) signals to the display and AVR with hands-on labs using matrixes, splitters, fibre optic termination and HDBaseT.
