MSolutions has announced that its new MS-63U1C USB-C extender set is now compatible with Microsoft’s Azure Direct DK development kit, providing customers with a way to enhance connectivity inside collaboration rooms. MSolutions will demonstrate the possibilities at ISE 2024, where MSolutions exhibits at Stand 5G820 in the Fira de Barcelona from 30 January – 2 February.
Announced in October and now shipping, the new MS-63U1C USB-C extender set offers a base capacity of 5Gb/s bandwidth for USB 3.2 Gen 1 signals and is capable of USB 3.2 signal extension up to 100 metres (333 feet) thanks to its wide bandwidth and reliability. The MS-63U1C is designed to support SuperSpeed 3.2 compatibility, ensuring that the user’s data moves quickly and with zero latency inside meeting and learning spaces.
The Azure Kinect DK developer kit provides users with an open-source solution to seamlessly integrate hardware components with AI sensors for computer vision and speech models. Using the Azure Kinect DK with the MS-63U1C allows integrators and in-house installers to connect their PCs with the developer kit and synchronise multiple devices in the USB ecosystem, including cameras and microphones.
“Our integration with Azure Direct DK will help developers of all skill levels easily bring their visions to life inside their meeting and learning spaces,” says Eliran Toren, CEO of MSolutions. “With automatic access to Direct DK upon bringing MS-63U1C extenders online, our customers have immediate access to other USB devices in the ecosystem along with the robust, dependable connectivity of our extenders. We are excited to show integrators the new possibilities that this integration brings to the surface.”
The MS-63U1C extender set, which includes a Host and Device, supplies customers with higher data transfer rates to reliably stream high-resolution video inside collaborative spaces and onto UC platforms for remote audiences. This opens more opportunities to move higher bandwidth content between sources and destinations without relying on bulky active cables that are often hard to pull and unsightly in modern AV environments.
Under the hood, MS-63U1C can cleanly support multiple USB bandwidth consumers without interrupting each other, including isochronous transfers for very high-data volumes associated with streaming media applications alongside lower volume data transfer needs, including KVM connections. The MS-63U1C is fully backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and lower.
