Marantz has introduced the MODEL 60n, described as an exceptional new network streaming amplifier, to its portfolio of high-performance stereo components. The maker says the unit blends outstanding performance with exceptional flexibility and cutting-edge technology, offering an ideal blend of feature-laden versatility and all the warm musicality for which Marantz is known for.
Warm, musical, powerful
Marantz says the MODEL 60n is the perfect choice for those seeking the warmth, resolution and ample dynamics of an all-analogue integrated amplifier. With 60W per channel of high-current Class A/B power, the MODEL 60n features the latest iteration of Marantz’s HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) technology. This ensures a strong combination of low distortion, effortless power and all the accuracy, transparency and musicality that Marantz promises from its products. Alongside three analogue inputs for other sources, the high-quality MM Phono stage ensures good results when partnered with vinyl.
Digital versatility
For digital music sources such as CD or a games console, the MODEL 60n relies on its built-in ESS Sabre DAC plus multiple digital inputs. Of course, HEOS provision means network music streaming from a broad range of music services via Wi-Fi or Ethernet and the ability to seamlessly join a whole-home HEOS multiroom system in tandem with other HEOS-enabled Marantz products.
Music from mobile devices is accessed via Bluetooth, Spotify Connect and AirPlay2, while Roon Ready provision, coupled to the ability to access high-resolution music files at up to 24/192kHz or DSD5.6MHz, means even the most dedicated audiophiles will be satisfied, says the manufacturer. There will also be an over-the-air update due shortly after launch that will elevate that support to 32/384kHz and DSD11.2MHz. Home entertainment enthusiasts are just as well catered for, thanks to the MODEL 60n’s HDMI ARC input and subwoofer output, making this versatile network streaming amplifier suited to contemporary living, and capable of offering fantastic sound quality whatever you want to spin, stream or watch, says the company. The MODEL 60n is available from mid-September.
