L-Acoustics Creations Clocks Record Success at ISE 2023

Over two booths in two halls and an off-site demo room for the new Ambiance Acoustic System, L-Acoustics reports recording a visitor increase of 25% at this year’s ISE.

L-Acoustics Creations attracted crowds to the centre of Hall 2 with live demos of Tahiti 2.1 and Fiji 5.1 loudspeaker systems and Soka, the winner of the Installation ISE Best of Show award.

Launched at CEDIA late last year, Soka, the ultra-shallow in-wall/on-wall architectural speaker system, took up a discrete position on the ISE stand, wall-mounted on either side of a 85in TV screen. Bringing the power and coherence of the line-source technology in compact form, Soka, with its companion SB6i subwoofer, attracted both show visitors and show officials, garnering the ISE Best of Show Award for Installation.

The company says the Fiji 5.1.2 sound system was a booth magnet, attracting attendees with its three compact X4i wall-mounted point source loudspeakers spread across the front soundstage, two X4i mounted tabletop behind the viewer, and two additional ceiling-mounted X4i showcasing the new in-wall/in-ceiling variant of X4i. For low-end extension, an SB10i compact 10in subwoofer was mounted on-wall using the new on-wall accessory for SB10i. Amplification came from a suite of LA2Xi & LA4X amplified controllers for the main demonstrations. The booth also showcased the recently launched LA7.16i amplified controller, boasting a cool-running 16 channels of 1300W (8ohms) in just a 2U form factor.

L-Acoustics Creations also showcased the compact, point-source X4i speakers—as with all L-Acoustics speakers on display at the show—which can be used indoors in eye-catching shades of pink, purple, green and blue. The X4i is available to order in any of the 216 RAL Classic colour finishes, covering a wide array of hues to complement or contrast décor across residential, marine, or other types of architectural installations.

The Tahiti 2.0 sound system was also a focal point, featuring Syva colinear loudspeakers mounted on the companion Syva Sub and driven by a LA4X 4x1000W amplified controller. Initially conceived for live reinforcement of opera vocals and classical music in concert halls, Syva majors on intelligibility at high SPL and is reinforced by the Syva Sub’s infra-low frequency response to give recorded sound the same engaging, visceral impact of live music. L-Acoustics Creations reports that crowds gathered whenever they heard the Tahiti system, which uses an exclusive pre-set for residential and marine applications.

Nick Fichte, Global Director of Sales at L-Acoustics Creations, says, “ISE 2023 was undoubtedly our most successful ISE exhibition to date, with our stand packed with trade customers from around the world throughout the four-day event. The Tahiti system really grabbed attention from our position in the centre of Hall 2, particularly when demonstrating its ability to deliver SPL over 115dB even in the open-hall environment.”

For integrators looking to increase incremental sales to residential clients, L-Acoustics Creations also unveiled fully branded ‘retail’ packaging for its 2022 CEDIA Award-winning Fiji 2.1 package. The neat white box with gold branding contains two X4i loudspeakers, an SB10i subwoofer, and an LA2Xi single-U four-channel installation amplifier, along with cables and tabletop/wall-mounting hardware for the X4i.
