LG is now bundling a free Sky Q subscription with select 4K Ultra HD TVs released in 2016 – with those buying the company’s top-end OLED sets getting a full 12-month subscription.
Available solely to new customers, LG’s partnership with Sky will let users receive between six to 12 months’ worth of access to the Original Sky Q bundle. To receive the full 12 months, users will need to opted for one of LG’s 2016 OLED models: which includes Signature OLED G6, E6, C6 and B6.
The six-month subscription is available when users buy one of LG’s Super UHD TVs with a choice between the UH950V, UH850V or UH770 sets.
In addition to access to the Original bundle, users will also receive the Sky Q Silver 2TB box, which supports Ultra HD streams. To take full advantage of the multi-room streaming capabilities of Sky Q however, users would need to buy another Sky Q box. A £12 a month multiscreen subscription will also be needed for those features, and to watch Ultra HD programmes.
Users have until March 31 2017 to redeem the offer, except on the UH770 series – where users only have until December 28 2016.
