Incorporating Lumin’s latest System-on-Chip (SoC) processor, the U2X delivers a significant boost in processing power, enabling enhanced up-sampling and sophisticated signal handling for comprehensive file format support up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512 from a wide range of digital streaming sources, including Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, Qobuz Connect, KKBOX, TuneIn and AirPlay.
Solid build
Audiophile design topology includes a 10MHz clock for inputs and outputs allowing the U2X to act as a master or slave to synchronise precisely with external devices for enhanced audio accuracy and fidelity. For the first time, a dedicated isolated USB port is available to separate the DAC and system from the network, while a low-noise external power supply, also utilised by the X1, ensures optimal sonic performance with minimal interference.
The U2X offers a versatile range of digital outputs, including USB, SPDIF, AES/EBU, and TOSLINK, as well as easy access to music libraries and playlists via the updated LUMIN app, now with simpler view options and playlist management on iOS, Android, Apple Silicon and Chromebook devices. The U2X is also Audirvana and Roon Ready certified.
