Daniel J SaitIn a completely unique format, never before seen at a smart buildings trade show anywhere, visitors to the Essential Install Live! shows (beginning with the northern leg on October 14 at EventCity, Manchester) will compete to be crowned the Essential Install Live! Champion Integrator.
Designed by Cornflake’s award-winning engineers, a realistic room-set will be built at each show, complete with an AV installation hiding several faults.
Installers will be invited to compete against the clock to see how many faults they can identify – and fix – within a five minute deadline. The most faults fixed in the shortest time wins the honour of being crowned Essential Install Live! Champion Integrator 2015.
The competition will be overseen by Cornflake’s technical team, the same engineers who created the room-set, who will also score contestants on the amount of faults they find and fix.

The winner will be presented with the Essential Install Live! Champion Integrator Award at the one-day northern show on October 14, with the competition also due to take place at the two-day southern show in 2016 in a format to be announced nearer the event.
