AliceTannoy’s newly announced XT Series are the latest additions to the Revolution loudspeaker product line.
The new models facilitate the speakers’ integration into a variety of room spaces without suffering from the effects of small-room acoustics.
The line features the bookshelf XT Mini, the XT 6 bookshelf speaker, the XT 6F floor standing speaker, the XT 8F floor standing speaker and the XT C centre-channel loudspeaker.
The speakers retain their original trapezoidal shapes, but the company has implemented several new engineering concepts that include a focus on the speakers’ internal cavities and crossover networks.
The Revolution XT series incorporate new enclosure designs that produce wide high-frequency dispersion and utilise new hand-built crossover networks that include audiophile-grade components and straightforward signal paths.
The XT 6F and XT 8F floor standing loudspeakers employ dual chambers and an internal port system that are said to provide additional rigidity to the speaker cabinets.
The dual-cavity, coupled reflex system is also said to optimise driver performance throughout the entire bandwidth, including low frequencies, which now exit the cabinets through an angled downward-firing port.
Tannoy offers the speakers in a choice of dark walnut and medium oak finishes.
