Jordan O'BrienSpeakerCraft has announced that it is bolstering its architectural speaker line-up with eight new products – all announced at CEDIA Expo 2015.
The new models include six new Profile models: two flagship in-wall theatre speakers (AIM LCR Five), two AccuFit UltraSlim models for shallow depth installations and two ‘Wide’ models for installations requiring ultra-wide sound dispersion.
In addition to these speakers, SpeakerCraft is also introducing two new five-pack configurations of its original Classic AIM7 Two and AIM8 One, designed for production home and builder partners.
“This now gives our partners a truly complete line of in-ceiling and in-wall bezel-less, flangeless speakers, enabling dealers to fully timbre-match into virtually all residential audio applications,” says Matt Dever, Core Brands product manager, audio.
“And the multi-pack additions help make things easier for our production/builder accounts as well.”
SpeakerCraft’s AIM LCR Five series will be the flagship in-wall product offered by the company and is designed to complement ever high-end home theatre available.
It comes equipped with Kevlar woofers and an aluminium-magnesium tweeter, both of which have been added to AIM’s patented pivoting baffle.
Timbre-matched to other FIVE series speakers, the AIM LCR Five Series is said to deliver SpeakerCraft’s best in-wall performance to date.
Installers will be able to get the AIM LCR Five in either a 5in or 3in woofer configuration.
The two new AccuFit UltraSlim models feature shallow 2in steel enclosures to address space limitations, building code requirements and sound transfers to adjoining walls and living environment concerns.
The Profile AccuFit UltraSlim Three is timbre-match to all Three series speakers and features two 3in custom polypropylene inverted dome woofers, two 3in custom aluminium inverted dome midrange drivers and a 3/4in aluminium tweeter.
The Profile AccuFit UltraSlim One features two 3in custom aluminium inverted dome woofers, two 3in custom aluminium inverted dome midrange drivers and a 3/4in resin coated silk dome tweeted; it has also been timbre-matched to all One series speakers.
The Profile AIM Wide Series features fully pivoting woofers and unique dual midrange-tweeter module.
The midrange-tweeter module is mounted directly over the woofer with dual, 2in dome midrange drivers and dual 1in tweeters facing 70° off-axis from each other.
SpeakerCraft claims that this results in ultra-wide sound dispersion with tremendous fidelity, ideal for home theatre applications including side channels, rear channels, or height channels, as well as wherever ultra-wide dispersion is needed.
These two 8in speakers are timbre-matched to their respective series in the SpeakerCraft line.
The Three series features an aluminium woofer, midrange drivers and tweeters, while the One series features a graphite woofer and midrange driver with silk-dome tweeters.
The new multi-packs offer 7in and 8in options for builders and production installers, incorporating SpeakerCraft’s patented WavePlane and pivoting AIM technology.
Both the LCR3 Five and LCR5 Five will be shipping in the UK and Europe in November.
