Daniel J SaitThe popular SolidPix screen technology has received a significant boost as its creators Screen Research has announced a significant expansion for the SolidPix 2 White (S2W) and new SolidPix 3 Grey (S3G) surfaces.
The results of the last round of extensive tests made have allowed the company to offer, effective immediately, the use of the new SolidPix 2 White (S2W) and new SolidPix 3 Grey (S3G) surfaces to all screen models from the Screen Research range.
One important thing to note here is considering that the current height of the rolls of these new fabrics is shorter than the previous S1W and S2G surfaces, the maximum available standard size as stated on the latest pricing file from December 2021 is now reduced with the new S2W and S3G fabrics, as follows:

As a reminder, the standard for Screen Research is always to have a seamless fabric. However, it would be possible as a custom request to go for bigger sizes with these new S2W and S3G fabrics if a weld is acceptable (that won’t be visible during projection).
Screen Research underlines that pricing remains unchanged compared to the older fabrics that have now been replaced.
The Screen Research configurator has already been updated accordingly. The datasheets and the fire-resistant certificates for the new S2W and S3G fabrics are still not yet available. The company will share them in due course. Screen Research expects to release and distribute an August 2022 Screen Research price list update.
