Q Acoustics has announced a new centre channel loudspeaker as part of its ‘Concept’ range.

The Concept Centre is being touted as having an ‘outstanding level of performance’, which Q Acoustics attributes to the Gelcore construction loudspeaker cabinet.

Gelcore is the company’s own technology which is said to almost totally eliminate loudspeaker cabinet resonance.

Brand director of Armour Home, Q Acoustics’ parent company states: “Everyone involved in the project is immensely proud of the new ‘Concept Centre’. It’s a beautifully styled product that delivers a level of sonic performance previously unattainable at its price point.”

“Needless to say, the introduction of the new Concept Centre means consumers can now enjoy the truly outstanding performance of complete ‘Concept’ 5.1 home cinema packages. For example; a complete 5.1 package, including our flagship loudspeakers, the highly acclaimed ‘Concept 40’, has a suggested retail price under £2000.

“In developing the Concept range, our engineers have addressed a fundamental problem of loudspeaker design, which is the distortion (colouration) caused by cabinet resonance.

“The greatest improvements are heard in the important, mid-range ‘voice/dialogue’ frequency band. This of course means a centre channel speaker is the optimum model on which to implement Gelcore technology.”

The Concept Centre comes in a choice of either gloss white or gloss black with both available now for £249.95 per pair.
