By releasing the Steven Spielberg-produced Jurassic World on June 12th, the company reached the major milestone as the film marked the 200th theatrical release film Prima Cinema has delivered to clients since its launch in 2013.
The company markets and sells the Prima Cinema movie player technology to clients in major metro markets across the US.
Clients include Kanye and Kim Kardashian West as well as a host of other celebrities, directors and producers, sports franchise owners and pro-athletes, high net worth entrepreneurs and Wall Street titans, senior Washington DC diplomats and serious home theatre enthusiasts.
“We are delighted to have reached this major milestone,” enthuses Shawn Yeager, CEO at Prima Cinema. “Together with our studio partners we are building a brand new high-value distribution channel which will have a positive impact on all studios, filmmakers and talent in the years to come.”

Kimye recently had the Prima Cinema system installed, footing the initial hardware cost of £23,000, then paying £324 per rental for a 24-hour period.
If little North nods off mid-film and they want to re-watch the movie again, that’s another £324.
After signing up to the service, users have to purchase 10 films upfront, totalling Mr and Mrs West’s bill at £25,956.
As one would hope for that price tag, Prima Cinema strives to bring films to its members via a fingerprint reader as they are released to the general public.
The company has already closed multiple premium home theatre licensing deals with several major and mini-major Hollywood studios.
Prima Cinema clients have been able to enjoy films such as The Imitation Game, Fifty Shades of Grey, The Lazarus Effect, Fast & Furious 7, Insurgent, Woman in Gold, Pitch Perfect 2, Ted 2, Terminator Genisys and Minions released on opening weekend in their private home theatres.
Films are said to be offered in a format that surpasses Blu-ray standards, with the company’s technology also offering 3D capability with a planned 4K rollout in early 2016.
Prima Cinema is currently available in the United States and must be purchased through a Prima Cinema authorised dealer.
There has been no comment as yet as to whether the technology will make its way across the pond to Europe.
