Prove your humanity

Earlier on this year, PictureFrame.TV won a Smart Building Award at Essential Install Live! South in the ‘Best Flatscreen TV/Pro Display’ category.

Speaking to CE Pro Europe, Farayi O’Connor, business development manager at the company says that the team is proud to be named winners of the award, admitting, “The win came as a complete shock for the whole team! While we believe that we have put in a great deal of hard work over the year, with a number of high profile nominees in this category, it is a real honour to have come out head and shoulders above the competitors in this category. Winning this award really shows us that our efforts are being recognised and that installers are happy with what we are doing. It gives us the encouragement to continue to develop our product and make it even better.”

“Our product, the MirrorTV, combines beauty with modern technology, making it both a dream for installers and interior designers to specify and work with,” adds Ketan V. Hirani, managing director.

“We continue to develop this product on a constantly meaning that the final product is one that is perfectly engineered, compatible, easy to install and above all good to look at.”

Shanif Habib, managing director reveals that a particular favourite project was at Albury Park Mansions, which saw the team install heated full-glass wall Mirror TVs for 12 soon-to-be-converted high specification luxury apartments.

“Some of our exciting projects have included Albury Park Mansions in Surrey, which included a variety of MirrorTV’s in gyms, spas and saunas across a number of luxury apartments,” he explains.

“This consisted of a minimum of nine pieces of glass with the centre panel revealing each TV in their respective rooms. This looked even more amazing as they were located within classic arch style basements. This modern twist really transformed each of the rooms.

“We have also had fun experimenting with new shapes, sizes and locations,” he continues. “65in screens have become a part of our standard 4K range, while curved over mantle style frames have become more popular.”

Ketan adds that with “regards to locations, people are finding more use for PictureFrame.TV products than ever before, with one recently being installed in a lift for a private members club in the heart of central London. This may however be overshadowed by a huge project consisting of a lift shaft full of mirrors alongside a MirrorTV, as well as the gym and cinema area clad with glass. Here we are looking at in the region of 50 large pieces of glass for the lift alone. Looks like an extremely busy period on the horizon for PFTV!”

Farayi concludes by saying that the company wants to look at further innovative ways to enable installers “to have even more fun installing and working with our products as well as increasing our range”.
