Jordan O'BrienPeerless-AV has revealed a new line of ceiling mounts for flat panel displays and projectors specifically aimed at both professional and residential environments where wall mount is simply not an option.
To make the new line appealing to installers, Peerless-AV has included many of the features expected from a ceiling mount; including a lightweight column with three different extension lengths, tool-less height adjustment and internal cable management.
The combination of all these features are designed to make the mounts quick to install and effortless to maintain in a wide range of architecturally-challenging applications.
“Our new ceiling mounts are particularly suited to settings previously regarded as unsuitable for display and projector solutions because use of nearby walls is problematic,” says Gordon Dutch, managing director of Peerless-AV.
“Now installers and integrators can address the visual requirements of dental practices, healthcare facilities, retail stores, corporate meeting rooms and home theatres with ceiling mounts that enable flexible placement and deliver an attractive finish.”
The new line consists of the ST940-EXA/B/C(-W) SmartMount Ceiling Mounts, PJF3-UNV(-W) (Flush Mount), PJF3-EXA/B/C(-W) SmartMount Projector Mounts and PRG3-EXA/B/C SmartMount Precision Gear Projector Mounts.
Available in black or white finish, the ST940 mount series comes in three different length sizes: A (420-547mm), B (547-781mm), or C (757-1192mm), supporting displays up to 40” with a maximum load capacity of 25kg.
The mount comes pre-assembled with a ‘hook-and-hang’ system, tool-less height adjustable column, 20˚ tilt and 360˚ swivel.
Landscape or portrait mounting options are also available.
The ceiling plate cover is designed to both be pleasing to the eye and functional, offering installers to ability to conceal internal routing of cables.
The PJF3 series of ball-and-socket-style mounts for projectors up to 24.9kg has four extension lengths (Flush, A, B, or C) to choose from, allowing the projector to be placed anywhere between 330mm-1092mm from the ceiling.
Its ‘Spider Universal Adaptor Plate’ extends up to 448mm to fit most projector models.
A single adjustment point on the mount offers ±20° Pitch, ±10° Roll and 360° Swivel fine-tune adjustments without tools during installation.
A quick-release thumbscrew also enables the installer to remove the projector from the mount when maintenance is required.
PJF3 mounts are available in black or white finish.
EXA/B/C models also include a ceiling plate cover with cable management.
Using the same column design and feature set as the PJF3, the PRG3 series of precision gear style projector mounts fits projectors up to 24.9kg. Mounts are available in black or white finish.
The new ST940 and PJF3 ceiling mounts are manufactured from aluminium making them 60% lighter than traditional steel designs. They are also UL certified for safe and reliable operation.
All models are now available in EMEA through Peerless-AV’s distributor and reseller partners.
