Legrand has launched a complete range of professional grade, high-fidelity speakers to the market under its Nuvo brand, which offers multi-room music systems.
The range of speakers are designed for use in-ceiling and in-wall, delivering high sound quality via three series and initially 17 SKUs, to meet the needs of a range of design or space requirements, says the manufacturer.
The first of three series, ‘series two’ offers silk dome tweeters and poly woofers for smoother highs and deep bass, whereas series six offers titanium tweeters and a combination of carbon fibre/Kevlar woofers for the higher power handling and more extreme performance.
The mid-range solution, series four, features rose aluminium tweeters and glass fibre woofers for an enhanced sound quality, with brighter sound and minimal distortion.
Richard Hayward, lead marketing manager for Legrand’s wiring devices business, said: “There are unique differences with each speaker series and the materials for the speakers’ tweeters and woofers are consciously chosen to offer balance, enhancement or premium sound quality, tailored for different requirements and settings. Whilst series two is ideal for a space where balanced, moderate sound levels are required, series six offers the best choice for larger spaces and home theatre installations. It really does come down to customer requirements and preference.”
The Nuvo in-ceiling speakers are also designed to be easy and quick to install with three dog legs rather than four, making installations much quicker. What’s more, all of the speakers offer a clean look and are finished with completely rimless square or circular magnetic grills and an infinity edge, so they blend into the wall or ceiling.
The new range of speakers form part of the Nuvo intelligent multi-room system, which includes the audio Hi-Fi components (player device and speakers) and the connections via Wi-Fi or cables to the home LAN network – depending on customer requirements.
Legrand will also be launching a new Euro keypad to support and integrate the whole audio system with the complete wiring accessory ranges, over the coming months.
Richard continues: “As consumers continue to demand more from their homes than ever before, we are responding with improved technology solutions that provide the sound definition people crave, and the foresight of wireless interfaces so that they can interact with technology in the way they choose – whether from a smart device or perhaps, an in-wall control device.
“Nuvo has a rich heritage in sound quality engineering and the latest speakers are testament to that. Through the addition of totally rimless magnetic grills, the product looks beautiful and with three rather than four dog legs on the in-ceiling speakers, installation is made simpler. When the Euro keypad is launched, in the coming months, it will be further testament that Legrand remains committed to the UK marketplace and in providing solutions that meet its needs.”
