Klipsch is refreshing its Reference series of products with wireless speakers and powered monitors; dubbed Premiere HD Wireless and R-15PM, respectively.
Both products have been built upon the same Reference Premiere acoustic platform that Klipsch has become known for over the years, offering the same sonic sound signature and performance as similar speakers in the range.
For its Premiere HD Wireless speakers Klipsch has added HD Control Centre for lossless, wireless audio transmission. To do this it has used the latest WiSA technology to ensure that not a single detail is lost from the source to the speaker.
The Reference Premiere HD Wireless speaker series consists of tower speakers RP-440W, monitor speakers RP-140WM and a centre channel speaker RP-440WC that features a two-way design and utilises the same driver and horn technology as the brand’s debuting Reference Premier series.
The system’s RP-110WSW subwoofer is also modelled directly after the new Reference Premiere R-110SW subwoofer, but offers the added convenience of WiSA wireless connectivity.
The ‘brain’ of the wireless Klipsch system is the HD Control Centre smart distribution hub that allows for simple connection of up to four HDMI equipped devices, digital optical, analogue and Bluetooth wireless technology.
It processes multi-channel inputs and distributes them wirelessly with transmission of up to 24 bit/96kHz.
With Klipsch’s proprietary smart speaker selector, one button on the rear of each speaker makes the connection to the HD Control Centre, eliminating the need to run speaker wire or connect an A/V receiver.
Each Klipsch Reference Premiere HD Wireless speaker is individually powered and has its own amplifier channel that controls the signal path all the way from the source to the speaker, the company claims that this most efficient way to extract every ounce of performance out of each speaker.
Consistent with the Reference Premiere line, these speakers feature proprietary 90°x90° Hybrid Tractrix Horn technology coupled with Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) titanium tweeters designed to produce the most effective release of sound waves for clean, natural listening experiences.
The LTS tweeters have been present in previous Reference generations and claim to minimise distortion for enhanced, detailed performance.
To help provide a low-frequency response with minimal cone breakup or distortion, Klipsch has installed copper-coloured Cerametallic Woofers, coupled with ceramic motor structures.
The Klipsch Reference Premiere HD Wireless speakers will be available for purchase in March 2016 at Magnolia Home Theatre and Magnolia Design Centre stores.
As for the R-15PM power monitors, Klipsch has designed those for people wanting simplicity at the heart of a product, while still enjoying the power and performance expected from a more complicated set-up.
The Klipsch Reference Premiere R-15PM powered monitors were designed for simple set up in minutes to a turntable, television, computer or wireless device. Its integrated phono pre-amp, Bluetooth, digital optical, analogue RCA and USB audio inputs mean just about anything can be connected to it.
The R-15PM powered monitors also incorporate individual, ultra-low noise amplifiers custom designed to maximise system performance and eliminate the need for an A/V receiver.
The speakers offer a wired sub output to further enhance the speaker’s low frequency, while the R-15PM¹s dedicated IR remote allows easy access to system features such as dedicated source selection, track controls and play/pause options.
As with all Reference loudspeakers, the R-15PM powered monitors feature proprietary 90°x90° Hybrid Tractrix Horn technology coupled with LTS titanium tweeters.
The Klipsch Reference RP-15PM powered monitors purchase through authorised retailers and Klipsch.com in January 2016.
