Jordan O'BrienHabitech is launching a new platform of home cinema products and design services in a series of events at its Basingstoke HQ and the North West Design Centre, Manchester during October and November.
Showcasing the company’s end-to-end support for complete home cinema system design and supply, the events will demonstrate the integration of an expanding range of high performance cinema product solutions with a new bespoke specification service.
Drawing on the wealth of products available and using newly-developed design software, Habitech is able to provide custom integrators with a complete and optimised product plan and specification (including acoustic treatments) for every new project regardless of room size, shape or material composition. Habitech’s advanced design and specification service can be calibrated according to budget and will output a complete system design, product schedule and quotation for presentation to the client.
JVC DLA-Z1 laser projector
Among the product highlights will be an exclusive preview of JVC’s extraordinary new DLA-Z1 laser projector, which was unveiled at IFA 2016. Featuring a ‘Blu-Escent’ laser light source with 3000lm brightness, 20,000 hours of operational life, dedicated 4K lens tech and a newly-developed cinema filter with a wide colour gamut, DLA-Z1 will illuminate up to true 4K (4096×2160) pixel resolution from three dedicated red/green/blue D-ILA devices. The Laser Diode provides instant light output control according to the scene’s brightness, delivering a picture that approaches the perception of the human eye with a contrast ratio of infinity:1.
Panamorph UltraWide lenses
Panamorph’s new Paladin and Phoenix lenses convert every leading projector model to the full cinema UltraWide 2.4:1 aspect ratio of at least 70% of all new film releases. The black bars visible on 16:9 screens are removed and in the process over two million pixels are reclaimed for a 4K UHD picture, maximising the performance of the display device.
Planet PoE+ switches
Supporting a new generation of Power Devices including 802.11ac wireless access points, large PTZ surveillance cameras, network routers, access control, even PoE lighting and TV, the Planet line of PoE+ (802 at) switches is designed to raise network efficiency to new levels.
