On June 28, Meridian will be putting on a show to celebrate the brands that it distributes – meaning installers will get the chance to see Barco Residential’s and Display Technologies’ products up close. Dubbed the ‘Distributed by Meridian Day’, this event will be full of new product demonstrations and hands-on workshops, and will be held at Meridian’s HQ in Huntingdon.
Meridian Audio may make its own line-up of speakers, but the Distributed by Meridian Day will shine a light on products such as Barco’s Medea projector and Display Technologies’ range of performance-enhancing image surfaces. Guests will be able to check out all the products on show between 9:30am and 3:30pm on June 28.
Barco Residential
For those looking working on an upcoming project in need of a projector, Meridian will be showcasing a range of Barco models. That includes the aforementioned Barco Medea, which is supposedly the brightest UHD laser projector at its price point, boasting 5,500 lumens of brightness for HDR playback. This projector is also designed to be flexible with five lens options.
Those looking for something a little higher end, then Meridian will also be showcasing the Barco Loki CinemaScope, which typically retails for upwards of £52,000+VAT. This CinemaScope model offers the same Ultra HD enhancements as the popular Barco Loki projector, and is coupled with a high-capacity 2.37:1 aspect DLP engine. The real highlight of this projector is its ability to showcase a 2.35:1 film without requiring an anamorphic lens, while it also boasts Barco’s single step image processing and low latency scaling technologies.
Display Technologies Screens
Display Technologies boasts a wide range of screens that should fit just about every project, regardless of space or budget. Meridian will be shining a light on the Reference Display Technologies range of screens at the event, with these highly acoustic transparent image surfaces being amongst the most popular from the company.
These screens can be installed straight onto the wall thanks to their front-loaded image surface, reducing the risk of dirt and damage as the screen frame is already mounted before the screen surface is fitted. This allows integrators to save time and money, whilst Transparent Reference image surfaces deliver stunning, vibrant images without any moiré effect. The micro bezel (2mm) Contempo screens start from just £1,700 RRP excluding VAT, whilst the Frontier screens (69mm bezel) start from just £1,900 RRP excluding VAT.
Meridian’s Design and Specification Service
Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn more about Meridian’s complimentary Design and Specification Service. Featuring solutions from Barco Residential and Display Technologies, it can help dealers provide a complete audio-visual scheme when paired with Meridian audio systems. It saves them both time and money whilst ensuring the correct placement for the best possible audio experience in home cinemas and media rooms alike.
Registration for the Distributed by Meridian Day is now available, with the event taking place between 9:30am and 3:30pm on June 28.
