Held on December 15 at Pulse HQ in Bishops Stortford, UK, the CEDIA chairmen’s Christmas lunch has been deemed a “huge success”.
Originally aiming to raise £3,000 towards the Teenage Cancer Trust, the contributions from the Just Giving Page and donations on the day led to a total of £5,000 raised for the charity.
The event was attended by a number of key industry faces, including six past CEDIA chairmen and current chairman Kris Hogg.
“I am delighted to have raised this much money for The Teenage Cancer Trust,” comments David Kitchener, MD of All Things Media, the company behind Essential Install Magazine.
“The event was well attended and myself, CEDIA and Pulse Marketing want to extend a huge thank you to all that made it on the day – it was a huge success by all standards.”
David states that All Things Media and Pulse Marketing are keen to make the fundraising afternoon an annual event.
“After such a successful and profitable initiative and hearing the positive feedback, Pulse has decided to make the event a yearly one that will hopefully continue to raise thousands for good causes over the coming years,” confirms Mike Beatty, managing director, Pulse Marketing.
“Monday’s chairmen’s lunch was a massive success,” he adds. “Thank you to our sponsors: CEDIA, Runco, Kaleidescape and all of our kind guests for making our chairmen’s lunch an event to be remembered.”
“This was another great event organised by Mike at Pulse supporting a worthwhile charity,” comments Matt Nimmons, operations director, CEDIA EMEA.
“It was nice to also recognise past and present CEDIA chairman and to celebrate the many voluntary hours they have given to help grow the industry.”
