UK Construction Week, which will run from 6-9 October 2015, targets anyone involved in construction and will contain nine dedicated events running at the Birmingham NEC.

Working with CEDIA, the Smart Buildings Show will provide installers, specifiers, architects and other parties interested in integrated tech for homes with the opportunity to take part in debates and workshops as well as various CPD seminars.

Smart Buildings will contain 125-150 exhibitors, including automation control systems, security, AV products and integrated lighting companies.

It will also contain a central feature showcasing the latest technology for residential and commercial building.

“We have worked with Media 10 for over eight years on various projects and have always been impressed with their ability to deliver successful events and recognise opportunities in growing sectors,’ comments Wendy Griffiths, executive director of CEDIA.

“On behalf of the industry and our members we are excited to be invited to partner with them to support UK Construction Week, specifically the dedicated Smart Buildings element within the event. We recognise the importance that the construction industry has to our members and this event provides us with the perfect platform to bring the two industries together.”

“Integrated technology is rapidly becoming a fundamental aspect of the built environment and there is a real thirst for information in this sector,” adds Nathan Garnett, event director for UKCW.

“We had identified the need for a large scale event for installers and specifiers of integrated technology, so this fits perfectly within our ambitious plans for a comprehensive range of events at the NEC under the umbrella of UK Construction Week. We have enjoyed working with CEDIA on 100% Design and Grand Designs, and this promises to be our most exciting partnership to date.”
