AWE Europe is once again expanding its product range with the introduction of the new Panasonic 4K screen – which just so happens to be one of the first screens to be certified Ultra HD Premium.
The Panasonic DX range of screens boasts four models, including the DX700, DX750, DX802 and the flagship screen, the DX902, which was recently awarded highly recommended status by AV Forums and Ultra HD Premium status by the UHD Alliance. Available in 58in and 65in, the DX902 4K TV supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) content.
The DX902 can be integrated into a home automation system. Due to Control4’s Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP), the DX902 can be controlled via Control4.
The Panasonic DX902 features a 10-bit VA panel, a Smart TV interface powered by Firefox OS, HDMI 2.0a inputs, HDCP 2.2 compatibility, HEVC decoding and 3D content. The LED panel includes “3000Hz Backlight Motion Rate”, Studio Master HCX+ colour tuning, Local Dimming Ultra and an Ultra Bright Panel with HDR Premium certification.
Panasonic has also launched the new DMPUB900 Ultra HD Blu-ray disc player, which is the perfect partner for the DX902. Providing playback of both standard and the new UHD Blu-ray discs this unit is the best way to get UHD content without any of the quality restrictions associated with streaming content which is subject to compression.
